Be Kind Like Gia

Julia (“Gia”) Suhajda grew up in Rochester Hills, Michigan and touched many people with her bright smile, open heart and wonderful wit. Just weeks before her 22nd birthday and her graduation from the University of Michigan, she took her own life after struggling with depression and anxiety.  In the days and weeks following her death, hundreds of friends and acquaintances shared stories of how their lives were impacted by her acts of kindness and generosity, often at times when they needed it the most.  To honor her legacy, we are spreading her message and encourage you to choose kindness always, share your gratitude for each other and hug your people.
We encourage you to read and share stories of kindness at #BeKindLikeGia on social media and visit www.bekindlikegia.com for more information. Because Gia loved to travel, we also encourage you to share photos as you wear or display her message in the world!

The world is a better place with you in it, always.
If you are struggling, please text or talk 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
For you, for your people, for Gia.
We're introducing the You Matter To Me candle that was designed to honor the life of Julia “Gia” Suhajda. We hope this scent will brighten your life while continuing to spread awareness. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each candle will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (afsp.org). To purchase click here
